Good Things Happening at Cohen Woodworking

Every once in a while, we notice a company that has good things happening. When that occurs, we like to tell you about them. This month the company that’s come to our attention is Cohen Architectural Woodworking. To start with, 2017 marks the company’s 35th anniversary.
They recently held a celebration in conjunction with the grand opening of their newly expanded facility. The ribbon counting was a joint ceremony with the Rolla and Saint James Chambers of Commerce. The new facility now measures 35,000 square feet. Next, the Architectural Woodworking Institute, long a major voice in the woodworking industry presented Cohen Architectural Woodworking with two awards for outstanding workplace safety.
First, they were presented with the 2017 Safety Improvement Recognition Award for Manufacturers, awarded to companies who reach more than 100,000 hours of maintaining a safe workplace. They also received the 2017 Zero Lost Time Accident Achievement for Manufacturers Award for reaching more than 100,000 work hours without a safety incident.
“These awards are a great testament to the owners, managers and staff who consistently make safety a top priority at Cohen Architectural Woodworking, said Phillip Cohen, Founder and President. “Our team includes a full-time safety director and everyone is dedicated to not only manufacturing the finest in custom millwork and cabinetry products nationwide but to do so in an environment that is safe for all our employees. We are proud to have received this special recognition.”
Last, but certainly not least, Phillip Cohen, founder and president of Cohen Architectural Woodworking was named the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 2017 Small Business Person of the Year for Missouri.

They’re a great firm, a true asset to the community, and I am excited they’ve been chosen as SBA’s Small Business of the Year for Missouri.” As if that weren’t enough, Cohen Architectural Woodworking was also named the Rolla Area Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Year and named the fastest growing cabinet manufacturer in the country by Wood & Wood Products Magazine.
